How to uninstall SQL SERVER ANALAYIS Serverices only

    Hi ,

    any one has any idea , how we can uninstall SQL analysis services only ...wihtouy impacting anything else ...

    Or how to upgarde analysis SP from 9.00.3042.00 to 10.0.1600

    Please help me out !!

    Remove Analysis Services : http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143687.aspx

    Those are SQL server versions not service pack versions.

    9.X is SQL 2005 (specifically the nu,ber you mentioned is 2005 SP2) and 10.X is SQL 2008

    so let us know what is your actual requirements...

    So here is the case ,

    I have installed SQL SERVER 2005(Notification services and Analayis services) and SQL server 2008(database engine ).

    Now I want to install only Analayis services on SQL server 2008 without disturbing other settings but first how I can uninstall Anlaysis services 2005 and then I have to reinstall.

    Thanks for the detailed info it helps:

    as i said before uninstall SSAS 2005 as in the link i provided, then run the setup for 2008 again and choose only SSAS 2008 and continue..
