  Hi,

  Can I know how to transform the MEMO datatype of Access to VARCHAR(MAX) in the package?

  Data Flow task is as below:

  OLE DB Source = Access

  |

  Data Conversion

  how to convert the datatype here?

  I did not see the VARCHAR(MAX) datatype here, instead there is only DT_NTEXT

  |

  OLE DB Destination = SQL Server 2005

  Do we have to manually change the datatype NTEXT to VARCHAR(MAX) after importing from Access Table?

  DT_NTEXT is the SSIS equivalent to nvarchar(max) which is what you want to use in SQL Server for converting an ACCESS memo column because ACCESS uses UNICODE.
