Hi all
I'm new to Reporting Services and basically need some advice on how to make Report Parameters optional.
I've designed a report with multiple Data Sources (all stored procedures), added Report Parameters linked to the stored procedure parameters and added a table in the Layout.
I click on the Preview tab and when I specify values for all of the parameters, the data displays fine. However when I only specify values for (what I consider to be) the mandatory parameters, and leave the values of (what I consider to be) the optional parameters, no data is displayed. The problem is confirmed to be these parameters when I attempt to export the report to a different format, I receive an "Export Error" stating "One or more parameters required to run the report have not been specified".
I have ticked the "Allow Nulls" box next to these optional parameters in the "Report Parameters" dialog, and my stored procedure also defines them as optional (ie it specified default values in the parameter list).
Can anyone please help me to convince the tool that these parameters are not required? I've searched forums and the Microsoft help files.
Thank you kindly
Ashley

Solved, I obviously didn't search the forums thoroughly enough! The solution to this problem can be found in the following thread:
