I have an MS-Access MDB file that is nearly empty, but is still 18MB on disk.
I need to compress/shrink it down to a more reasonable sixe, but I cannot find anything in this new version of Access (2007), so can anyone tell me:
1) how I can see the amount fo used/unused space? Even better would be a breakdown by table/object
2) how I can shrink/compress/deflate this oversized MDB?

I'm no specialist in 2007, but if you click on the "office" icon (top left corner), you should get a "manage" option, which then gets you to the compact and repair functionality.
As to size - as far as I know you have to "guesstimate" based on the documenter.
