Sometimes I want to post HTML or XML like code or I want to put certain kinds of arguments in so-called angle brackets, but I cannot seem to get it right. here is an example of the word 'name' surronded by angle brackets:
See, nothing shows, though it seems like I have seen greater-than and less-than signs in posted code?
Is there an escape character for this?

Like this?

I've used the [ code ] [ / code ] tags from the shortlist for the code and then the "& l t ;" and the "& g t ;" shortcuts for the brackets.

Or you could use online converters like these to generate the HTML.

Just remember to use the correct IFCODE. Meaning [ CODE ] for code and XML, and QUOTE for text. The most recent iteration of IFCODE seems less tolerant of text in a CODE block, effectively blowing up the page width (as I found out a few days ago). It didn't seem quite so sensitive before (just have to break the habit I suppose).

Your lack of planning does not constitute an emergency on my part...unless you're my manager...or a director and above...or a really loud-spoken end-user..All right - what was my emergency again?
