When I use "Search Customer Reviews" in Amazon.com, it surprises me that it only take less than half second with more than 6000 review. (e.g. review in Kindle Fire HD).
Which way to make it possible?

Unsure what DB platform Amazon run off, but for SQL you could look at Full Text Indexing.

6k rows is not really not that much to look through. Full Text indexing can make that sort of thing happen pretty fast.
--EDIT--
Seems that Anthony was quicker on the draw here. 😛
