I'm configuring some log shipping for reporting purposes - can anyone tell me the process for restoring my source database and getting log shipping working again were my source database to die horribly please?
I am currently assuming that the process might be as drastic as restore my database from last full backup & available t-logs and then bin the log shipping and reconfigure but I wonder if the system is cleverer than that & I cannot find any documentation online.
Many thanks.

- disable all logshipping jobs
- restore your primary server database from backup
- restore the same database backup on to the secondary server but in the correct state (you can apply logs).
- clear out any transacton log files you have left in the designated Tlog directory or in the copy directory on the secondary server
- enable all logshipping jobs starting with the primary server.
Very straight forward, we use this in our UAT env all the time, to keep them in step.
