I have a QA machine on which a previous publication and merge agents from a merge replication scenario were removed piecemeal. When I browse down Replication Monitor I have no publications or agents as expected, however the Merge Agent folder and upwards have a red X on them still. Where is this status stored? Can I clean it out manually?
Similarly, I'll sometimes run into a hanging "db:db" publication when the database has been removed and the system tables still think there's a publication somewhere. Deleting it errors that it can't retrieve the information about publication "db:db" Error 2812: Could not find stored procedure." Again I figure there's a system setting I can update to correct the status, but I'm not sure where it is, or how many tables I have to go through.
Thanks for any input.
