How to read error log?

    I am so confused. New to Analysis service, the error log is just so complicated than sql error log.I do not see any entry in SSAS error log file when SSAS service was started or stopped. I am trying to find why was the service stopped and there is not entry either in event viewer nor in SSAS error log. ALso what is this Flight recorder? Has old data dated from 2009, doesnt have the current data? Any suggestions?

    Update, sorry was looking at the wrong directory. I do see the log files but i do not see an entry for when the server was stopped.
