How to move Reportserver db on same server?

    Want to move the same into default data folder in installation folder. This got created because I selected reporting services feature during installation but wrongly provided the path in the page which shows default root path for data files thinking my user database will stay there. This is my first installation. 🙂

    Can I move it using Alter database command? And wont is cause problem later? Basically, this is not going to be in use and has been installed for future use.

    Please help.

    first stop the SSRS service

    then detach/move files/attach or backup/drop/restore or alter database/stop sql/move files/restart sql

    then restart SSRS
