how to look at the connection string?

    Hello,

    I have a question on how we can see the connection string generated when trying to connect to a remote instance. What I mean is that when trying to connect to remote instance using SSMS where can I find the connection string generated before I hit the "CONECT" button. Is it even possible to look at the connection string??

    if yyou only interested in generating the connection string the same way you can simply create a file with .udl extension enter the details and then rename it to txt to view the connection string.
