[p]Our application using the UDL file to communicate to SQL-Server 2005. The UDL has the cluster IP address but did not have the specific port number that the application need to communicate which is XXXX (port no.).[/p]
[p]we are facing some slow performance issues with our production servers.How to know that whether UDL file setup creating any performance issues to connect to the SQL-Server.[/p]
[p]Please help me on this issue[/p]

once a connection is established, communication performance may depend on the protocol it uses.
The sql performance for equal queries will be the same.
Also keep in min what kind of isolation level it uses for the queries you are submitting.
