How to install the sp2 i have already done in sp4

    Hi Friends,

    I got one problem i have already done sp4 in sqlserver 2005 but i want to install the sp2 how to do this if any one help me this.

    You will need to uninstall SP4 and then install SP2. Make sure you backup all databases inc system databases before doing this and have a very large downtime window incase it all goes wrong.

    Service Packs are cumulative, so if you have installed SP4, you have also installed SP1,SP2,SP3 as well.

    Think the uninstall feature for service packs is only available from SQL 2008 onwards, but Anthony is correct in that SP2 updates will be applied with SP4
