Hi,
I have a windows 2003 R2 server that has SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition installed. But my predecessor did not install the Management Studio and the BI tools. Could anyone please help with installing these components in the machine ?
This is because right now I am working on couple of SSIS packages and they require the 32 bit dtexec to be available to execute them and its not there in this installation.
Please help me with this issue.

Install BIDS and the SQL Server Management tools.
This article explains that 32Bit dtexec will be installed in both 64 Bit and 32Bit

Do you have the installation media for SQL Server (disc or iso file)?
You install these features from the installation media and select those particular options.

I only have the configuration tools and Documentation & Tutorials installed on this server. Nothing else is installed so I cannot go into the server and do anything. But there are databases and users logged in and using the server (SQL Server).

Hi SQLRNNR,
Sorry I am coming back to you after a long time as I was on vacation.
I had one more question to add to this. I have the sql server 2005 installation media. So once I install these client tools do I have to run the service packs again ?
Regard,
Rachel

Yes. You would run the service packs again to make sure the client tools are patched.

Install went well but no use to running ssis package so I am currently running them from another server that has sql server 2008 r2 installed.
Thank you for the suggestions and help.
