while installing sql server 2012 i am facing this error

Sounds as though you got a bad download of the install package....and/or an error occurred when burning the installation to DVD.
Try re-downloading or burning a new DVD.

The .msp file is intended to install the patch through a Group Policy.
You install it on top of an .msi file in the same Group Policy.
If you want to install a fresh copy of SQL Server 2012, you should download the .ISO and mount it.
