hi anthony..
my sql sever is 32 bit and windows is 64 bit..
yes i doo configured iis after instalation of os and backword compatibility is selected/installed as the above link states

i did that only but no luck on that too..

anyway im trying once after uninstalling/ restarting the server also and going to proceed as per divine inputs

no guys..
im unable to install by selecting db services and workstation componets.. before visual studio components installation getting stopped
plz find attachment in attachments
feeling irritated.. but wont give up..
can any body tell me other options..
without selecting workstation componentes and analysis services succesfully installed but didnt get SSMS.
i need ssms most..for easy use..
any help is really appreciable..

Has somebody installed the Visual Studio on this machine prior to installing the SQL Server? I have seen some cases where Visual Studio creates problems during installation of SQL Server but not sure if that is the problem in your case.

no , nothing was installed other than iis and active directory.... after the os installation
