How to increase the size of my C drive on my SQL 2008 Server ?

  • I have a web server running windows server 2008 std and sql server 2008, when i added VS 2010 it basically used up most of my C drive space 73 GB.

I have tons of space on my four other Virtual Arrays, are there any safe ways of increasing my C drive, without losing data?

I found the above product, but dont know if it is any good!

    Thanks

  • you need an external tool to increase the partition. It's worth noting that windows 2008 R2 allows you to resize partitions on the fly.

I always make sure the C: drive isn't used for installs - or get a big C: drive.
