  You could use the SQL functions to provide default values for the username and datetime.

  Isn't the data being imported into the same table each time and therefore only requiring one format file?

  Thanks Phill,

  I will give the sql functions a try.

  Actually they are not default values but dynami values as they need to change per user entering the data.
