grab a copy of sp_whoisactive here:

from there, you need to look at the parameters, but for example running this:
EXEC sp_whoisactive
@show_own_spid =1,
@show_sleeping_spids =1
will show me a lot of information of what is running right now , and i can evaluate whether someone is using a lot of CPU, disk, or whatever.
