How to identify the sql 2000/2005/2008 service

    Hi,

    Need some inforamtion.

    Looking at the services in services.msc can we get to know whether the service is 2000/2005/2008?

    If you right click on the service and select properties, you'll see the path to the actual .exe and based on thaat you should be able to work out (ie mssql10 is sql 2008).
