Hello,
Is there any email to get notified when a new SQL Server Version/SP/CU is introduced from Microsoft? I wanted to use some automated notification so that can download the patch and can keep it to a place for SCCM install.
Kindly suggest if anyone is using any best practices on this.
Thanks.

I have subscribed to https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/sqlreleaseservices/feed/ and have this on my favourite https://portal.msrc.microsoft.com/en-US/security-guidance which i check manually. I do not trust WSUS for delivering patches for SQL server. You will have to be very careful using this..
I would also love to know if there is automatic email notification for SQL server patches when they are available.

There was a recent blog post on how you can automate the process yourself.

With WSUS, the issue is, it downloads both CU and SP. It's no point downloading CU if SP is covering that anyway. RSS feed i just periodically check it manually. Thanks SQL_Lock for the link. Looks really good. Will give that a go.
