I know that i can limit the amount of mem used by SQL 2008 but I would like to leave that as is and run a command after the SSIS and tsql scripts have run over night to free up the memory back to the system is their an SQL command to do this pleases?
Sorry, but there is no such command. While it's possible to remove somethings from SQL Server memory using DBCC commands, that won't release the memory to the OS.
