How to find who has installed SQL Server Instance in SQL Server 2008, 2008 R2 and in 2012

  • Hi - How to find who has installed SQL Server Instance in SQL Server 2008, 2008 R2 and in 2012?
In SQL server 2016, we can get the details by checking the file and get the name of the user but not sure how to find the details for SQL Server 2008, 2008 R2 and in 2012
    SetupBootstrap\Logs\Installation Date\MSSQLServer\sql_engine_core_inst_Cpu32_1.log

    Kindly suggest.

    Thanks.

  • Any update from anyone?

    Thanks.

  • Are you trying to discover what computers on your local network have SQL Server installed on them?  Then maybe you could use something like this free tool from Idera:
