I work at an ISP.
I need to reformat a dedicated server, and I wanted to located the SQL server 2000 license, so I can return the correct SQL server software box + CDROM to the client that purchased it.
But so far I have not found any place where it is listed.
Can you tell me where to find the license, so I can compare against the certificate of authenticity on the SQL server boxes we have laying around here in the server room?
Is it in the registry?
I looked in License manager, and it was not there. But I am 100% sure its running on the server. I also looked on the properties tab in Enterprise manager, but its not listed their either.
Thanks
Scott
