Hello,
Can somebody point me to the right direction on how to do failovers with AG sql 2017? I have 3 Vms (node1, node2, node3) and node 1 is the primary and the rest are secondary. I have asynchronous set up. How can I failover to a specific secondary node? So, I want to failover from node1 to node3? Appreciate the help.

I use management studio and right click the AG group and select Failover and when the wizard comes up I select the secondary replica i want to failover too, but the "NEXT" button is no enabled so I can't select any replicas? What is going on? Thanks.

When you right click on the Availability Group, is this on the primary or one of the secondary replicas? I think the wizard expects you do be doing this against one of the secondary replicas.

Sue,
You the wooooo MAN! I was doing it on the Primary and then I did what you said to do and went to a replica and I see the wizard works correctly. You would think with all these msft devs and testers you could of put some kind of warning saying why the button is inactive? haha..
Thanks Sue.

Testers? They got rid of testing but I read that recently added some back. Probably one of those two testers didn't have time.
But you are very welcome 🙂
