how to do clustering on windows xp media center edition?

  • hi,

Iam trying to do sql server 2005 clustering on windows xp media center on my laptop. Inorder to do that Iam trying to set up clustering on windows xp first. So where can add cluster service component?

We can add this by going control panel n add\remove windows components for in windows 2000 advanced server. So how can we achieve this in windows xp?

    Thanks

  • clustering is a windows server feature and not windows xp. However, using Microsoft VirtualServer you can on a laptop that is powerful enough set up a virtual 2 node MSCS with a SQL2005 cluster. You will need Windows server operating systems (2003 Enterprise, 2000 advanced, etc) to achieve this. It doesnt sound like you have much experience with clustering
