How to determine maximum memory for SQL Server 2008 R2 Express

    This pretty much tells you that this instance is ok,

    So there were a few places were it dipped below. Does this mean that if I see it below 1000 for maybe 4 hours and then it goes back up that I have enough memory during non-peak times? Or would I see this value extremely low for then entire 24 hour period, and that would tell me I didn't have enough memory?

    if it drops below 1000 during the day and for sure on the 4 hrs, then yes needs more memory. I try to not allow it to happen at all but I can live with it during maintenance periods. if it happens for a few min a day, its not good but its possible that you can live with as well, just know that during that time things will be slow....as prett much everything will be coming from disk

    yes again for 24hrs you need more memory no doubt

    you will more then likely see it drop during maintenance periods if there are any.
