How to create a parameter into the SSRS

    I have the report ready, but now I need to add a parameter, right click on page I can see the parameters report

    that creates a combo box on the report but the filter wont work, what am I doing wrong?thanks

    Hi,

    I believe you might be using stored procedure to retrieve the data. You can create parameter into the report and pass that parameter into stored procedure. Then in the stored procedure you can use filter according to parameter.

    You need to specify your parameter some where to filter it. otherwise how can it filter?
