I have a SQL 2008 64 bit and I need to connect to Oracle 9i to read data via SSIS 2008.
I have already downloaded Instant Client Basic and ODBC packages from Oracle Instant Client site to my server.
What are the next steps I have to set up to connect to Oracle? Thanks for your help.

I have always used Oracle's full client but since Ora10g is able to talk to Ora9i 10g instant client should work.

Thanks for your help. Today I actually downloaded the Oracle 11g Release 2 for Windows 64 bit then run the setup.exe to install the client on my server. After that I configured the TNSnames.ORA via Oracle Client Net Manager and I was able to read data from Oracle with SQL server SSIS 2008.

Good job! Nothing beats the full client.
