Hello, I inherited a win2003 server with SQL server 2005, it's causing problems, and I need to remove SQL completely. We don't need it.
When I ran the standard "Contro Panel" uninstall of each component, that ran fine. But SQL Config Manager is alive and well?
I need everything related to SQL and any rogue DB's gone!
I'm thinking this may require a complete new Windows re-installation instead......I see so many articles about un-installs not completely working, and
people opting for format and re-install of windows.
Thought I'd give this forum a shot...
Please help.

After uninstalling SQL Server please delete the SQL Server root folder and clean the registry with registry cleaning utilities. It should work.
