How to clone a DB

    hi everyone

    Im trying to clone a database in the same server with a different name and im getting nowhere

    how can i do this

    Backup and then restore it with a different name ( and different filenames )

    hi noel

    this didnt work for me

    i created the new db ... backedup the old one ... then tryed the restore on new db with the old db´s backup

    the error said that the backup is being used by the old db

    You don't need to create a new db, but when you restore, you need to change the name at the top and on the 2nd tab, you need to change the physical paths and files.
