HOW TO CHECK THE SOURCE OF THE DATABASE BACKUP FILES

  • Hi,

I have a situation whereby i have SQL Backup files being dumped to one of my Drives and filling up all the space i need.

Is there a way or a script to check which Server or Instance or Service is running this Backup?

Is there way to look for the source device that is dumping all these .bak files on to my server?

I already checked the existing instance local instance on the server and it's not it, why i say so is because when i check the database properties of my local databases they tel me that the last backup was run on the 2/12/2011 and the files that are eating up space are happening daily, i even have ones for the 4/12/2011. Please help, i don't want to delete files without understanding where they come from.
