How to change the t-log backup file name --Generated by litespeed

    Hi,

    We are using lite speed for log shipping.

    I used the Litespeed log shipping wizard to create the log shipping plan and it's generating the log backup files with GUID & database name as below:

    ABDCBD4C-F642-4D5E-9167-212F97BB67B7_Admin_20120314201801.trn

    It's looking odd with GUID number inn.trn file.

    Can we change the .trn file NOT to have GUID? something like Admin_20120314201801.trn?

    Hi,

    The litespeed generates the naming convention for its trn files by default which cannot be modified. I did give a try when i was working before with the litespeed logshipping wizard.

    U can as well try to customise ur log shipping backup job using T-SQL which backups with litespeed and creating a job to run with ur backup schedule policy.
