I can confirm, this works in reverse as well...(going from tabular to multidimensional mode)

How does multi-instance mode for Analysis Server work?
I installed a default instance & a named instance and the mode is either one or the other. I can't get the server to host a multidimensional SSAS service and a Tabular Model SSAS service simultaneously. There are 2 SSAS instances installed but only one responds.
Can you point me in the right direction?
