How Much Ram should Add ..???

    Hi guys

    Like to know some math or Idea for adding RAM for SQL Server.

    WE have 600 GB database and has Image data into it. it is growing very fast. currently SQL server has 4GB ram . so how to decide .. how much RAM should add to get better performance?

    Please Advise..

    I'd say about 76GB If you're using SQL 2008 Standard Edition (maximum this edition can use is 64GB). If you have enterprise, then as much as your hardware or budget will allow. The more memory SQL has in which to cache DB objects, the faster it will run.
