How many Database can be created in a MSSQL 2008 R2. Can any one give me the exact number with an explanation.
Does the DB number will differ according to the server spec's and also the bit(32/64) number.

Databases per instance of SQL Server 2008 R2 - 32,767
Practically this value is limited by the amount of RAM the SQL server machine has, long before it reaches this maximum values.
