I'm getting started at learning how to use Azure. I'm working on first copying a personal SQL Server database I use at home for learning new technologies. Well hey, guess Azure is new, to me at least.
I want to use Azure SQL Service, or whatever it is called. How do I go about taking my SQL Server Developer Edition database and move it up to the cloud?

Hi - this is a lot of documentation out there to help. You could just start building an Azure SQL DB and use the "sample" database from the setup wizard..
see https://azure.microsoft.com/en-gb/documentation/articles/sql-database-get-started/
IF you really want to "migrate" your on-prem DB then you have couple of options. (In built wizard or BACPAC)

You'll have to set up an Azure account too. If you have access to MSDN, you can get a free account with a limited amount of funds for each month. If not, you can set up a temporary free account, or, you'll have to pay for access to Azure.
