How do I run query from Query Designer ?

    when I right click on Query Designer , I find Execute SQL menu is disabled .

    How do I run query from Query Designer editor then ?

    I am using MS SQL Server Management Studio 2008

    That option is for some reason only available when you design a view. The idea is that when you design a query, you put the result back to the query window.

    Overall, I don't like the Query Designer, because there are so many SQL constructs that it cannot handle.
