As stupid as I am, I can't figure out how to put an article on the blog?

Go to your page (http://blogs.sqlservercentral.com/loner/default.aspx), log in, there should be a "write a post" on the left side.

I'm just not seeing where to post a topic. Do I go to "My Account"? I just don't see anywhere a link to "Post A Topic". I used the link you posted for loner replacing his nick name with mine but it came up page not found. Can my account not post topics or is it really that hard to find where to post a topic?

You must go to your blogs page. There is a Control Panel on that page once you are logged in.
It is completely separate from this site right now. We are working on integration, but it is taking some time to blend Community Server into our sign on system.
