How do I add an image to my post?

  • There are opening and closing tags of ''. How do you use them (or is there another way) to embed images into my post? Thanks!

  • Upload the picture using the Edit Attachments button below the editing window. Then use the link for that.

(If you Quote my post, you'll see how I formatted the link. Upload your image and just change the attachment number to match your upload.)

I figured this was just some random image, but then I read the filename at the bottom of your post. DOH!

Dunno why, but I really laughed at this. Thanks for the chuckle Gus,

  • Thanks! It's meant to generate a chuckle.

  • I'm having trouble adding images to my posts. I've tried adding an attachment and referencing it but it doesn't seem to work. Instead of the image only an icon is displayed.

    Example:

I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. Thanks for any insight you can provide.

  • Yeah, it does, doesn't it. Just like when I take my car to the shop - it always runs fine during their test drive.

Now I'm not sure why the picture didn't show up in the preview. After I submitted the post I noticed an open upload dialog box and closed it. Perhaps the attachment file isn't accessible until the dialog box is closed.

    Thanks for the fast reply.

I think that's it. The preview might be flaky here. I'll make a note, but it's a low priority.

Never does. I suspect the attachment doesn't become permanent and hence accessible until post is clicked (the dialog has no effect)
