I've successfully downloaded and installed SQL Server 2008 Express Edition, after which I used the SQL Server Installation Center to register the product (I think). But I'm not so sure the registration process "took". How can I tell if my product is registered? I've looked but can't seem to find a menu option, tool or property on my local installation that can confirm the registration was successful? If I don't register the product it will expire in 30 days. 🙁 So, I want to verify that puppy is registered with "the man" so I don't have to do this ALL OVER AGAIN in 30 days when the trial period ends.
I also installed Visual Web Developer 2008 Express Edition but that registration info is easily found in the "normal place" under the help menu so it's easy to tell if that product is registered.

SQL Server 2008 Express Edition is the freely available version from Microsoft. There is no trial period associated with that version.
SQL Server, including the express edition, is not registered as you would register an application. Unless you have installed an evaluation edition, there is nothing to worry about for the database engine.
