How can I add a new thread?

  • I would like to create a new thread, but the "Add New Topis" button is not available when I want to create one in another thread.

Have you tried the Add Topic button? I didn't actually add a new topic thread, but it took me to the appropriate page to do so.

  • The add new thread button is visible when you're in a forum. When you're viewing a thread you can reply to that thread.

I am assuming that's what you have done successfully here. Is this not creating a new thread ?

  • Sorry, I figured it out.

I saw the "Add Topic" button available only while I was in this forum (SQL Server Newbies). But the button wasn't there when I was in another forum. I learned that you have to go into the messages to see the button.

    Sorry.

  • Correct, you must pick a forum first, then you can add a topioc.
