  Are there any methods  to create an alias for a database similarly to SQL Server aliasing.

  For  SQL server aliasing below link can be referred  -

  you can't - googling show you lots of threads on that and the answer is always the same.

  depending on what you are trying to accomplish there are ways to bypass some issues, but not all of them.
