History for Data Driven Subscriptions

  • Hi,

I have managed to create a data driven subscription in reporting services 2005

    which works successfully.

The report is sent to a couple of hundred recipients in an email and the attached report only shows their data.

What I would like is to see is all the reports sent to these recipients in the history of the report,so that if a query arises from the recipients I can pull out their report.

Does anybody know how to create the history for this subscription for each of the recipients.

    Thanks

  • Under Properties for a report you should see a link called History on the left, below the link for Data sources and Executionusing which you can store a copy of the scheduled report. The solution seems so obvious to me but not sure of any complexities in your environment.

"Software changes. This is a rather obvious statement, but it is a fact that must be ever present in the minds of developers and architects. Although we tend to think of software development as chiefly an engineering exercise, the analogy breaks down very quickly. When was the last time someone asked the designers of the Empire State building to add ten new floors at the bottom, put a pool on the top, and have all of this done before Monday morning? • The history page you have mentioned only contains settings, I have checked the tickbox

'Store all report execution snapshots in history '

This requires a default parameter which I have set.

However, when I create a data driven subscription the emails are sent but there is no history for the emails sent.

The test report I have, contains data for 2 individuals and the data driven subscription sends the report to each of these recipients with their data. However nothing is shown in the history for the report. I am sure the history should include these reports, I must be missing a crucial step somewhere.
