High Log Flush Wait time

    Hi,

    I'm getting the below alarm from Spot light:

    Time Connection Action Details Severity Alarm

    10/14/2009 10:12:36 AM SQL1\ins1 Alarm raised The database WSS_Content_PROD has a high Log Flush Wait time (594 ms). Low Databases - Log Flush Wait Time Alarm

    What does this mean and what action should I take?

    Check whether disk io subsystem is busy whenever u get the alert. In case its not then increase the threshold.

    Could be disk latency. I would also check your IO by file in Spotlight, you may be able to pinpoint the process that is holding up the disks.
