I use SQL Server Management studio 2005 to access an ISP managed shared database server. I have to wade through a very long list of databases to get to the one or two I have permission to access. Is there a way in Management Studio to filter out the unwanted databases?
Thanks,
Mike

Mike:
Although I don't think there's a way to hide unwanted databases from SSMS, you can specify a default database when you connect to the ISP's server by choosing your database from the "Connection Properties" tab, in the "Connect to database" combo-box (see attached JPG).
Hope that helps,

Thanks Simon. That'll help. I still would love a way to actually filter the database list because we have 3 databases with this one ISP and the database names have them on both sides of the list spectrum.
Thanks again.

You can also create a server group in the "Registered Servers" pane. See "Registered Servers" under the View menu in SSMS.
