Hide a Table in SSRS report and Hide the same in Excel export

    We have a complex SSRS report which has 17 worksheets when exported to Excel. I have been asked to generate a ‘lite’ version of the report that exports only 3 of the sheets to Excel.

    I have tried adding a report parameter to control the Visibility of the tablixes, but the Excel export renders a blank worksheet in place of the hidden tablix. (Each tablix breaks to a new page.)

    Has anybody faced this challenge, if so how did you tackle it?

    The only way I know how to handle this is to make a separate report that just has the three relevant sheets. I would be interested in knowing if other folks know a clever way of handling it in a single report.
