Hi, i had a problem in report rendering in to PDF format ..... like

  • If there are six columns in report preview and when i render this to PDF as per client specification only first three columns are seen in first page of the PDF and the remaining three columns are seen on second page of PDF... so how to get out from this...

  • Hi,

I guess the solution would be to export it to Landscape instead of Portrait.

Here is a link on how it's done:

    I hope that helps,

  • The trick is to set the page width (under Report Properties and Layout) to a setting that fits that actual report's width and NOT to the actual PAPER's width.

So if your report in the designer is 18", set the width to 18" + your margins even if you're printing on 8 1/2 x 11".

I've had to do this several times with PDF's and once you get the setting right, the export process will auto-scale your report to fit.

  • This might be the problem with your printer / fax to which you connect the system for exporting the data.

Hence, try to find the paper size of the element and adjust the settings of your report.

Clear the un-wanted space/lines of the report column-by-column so that the size of the main design gets reduced so that the chances of your values will not get into next page but will certainly be available within the specified columns.

  • Thankq Jason Selburg...... its working when i changed the width in Report Properties:)
