    HI I am also facing same problem as first one

    Priviously i installed SQL server 2000 but after that i uninstalled now i tryed to install SQL server in Windows XP service pack 2 but it is giving error

    Try to reboot your machine, install then your SQL Server, assuming you have a clean uninstallation.

    If it's not installed, remove the folders in the file system and the registry key under HKLM/Software/Microsoft
