Hi Imran, is it possible to provide the Invoice_Fixedwidth text file to play with the commands?

Eliassal,

I was able to find Invoice.txt file. This file is pipe separated, but you could consider this as a fixed width file that has errors in it and run the awk commands to find length of each record, awk commands to write records less than or greater than a specific length to an error file.
